Sunday’s 2017 SAG Awards are getting underway with red carpet festivities. Check out the live stream below!
For the first time, the Screen Actors Guild has teamed up with one of its broadcast partners, TBS, for a red carpet pre-show with Facebook Live. Called “Carpet Diem,” the special will be co-hosted by Refinery29 producer Emily Curl and writer Arianna Davis. Organizers are promising an interactive experience in which viewers can engage in real-time as cameras capture all the star-studded arrivals.
In addition, there’s a newly-expanded “People, EW & TNT’s SAG Awards Red Carpet Live” broadcast that is also only available online. While in past years this pre-show has primarily featured just on-the-scene coverage in Los Angeles, this new version will also have a talk show-like component by featuring commentators from the “People Now” studio in New York City. Together, all facets of the SAG Awards will be covered, from red carpet style to analysis of the night’s top categories.
The two options more than make up for the lack of an official televised red carpet program. And the “People, EW & TNT’s SAG Awards Red Carpet Live” will be the only feed to feature the announcement of the first two winners, Outstanding Stunt Ensemble for both TV and film. Watch below, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Eastern!
