This recipe tastes even better than it looks. The best part? It is easy to make.
Ingredients:
4 apples (Braeburn or Gala work best)
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup dried cherries
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425*
Cut tops of apples off. Core apples
Combine walnuts, cherries, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a separate bowl.
Pack each Apple with combined ingredients.
Top off with one tablespoon of butter on each Apple.
Put apples into a baking dish.
Back for 30 minutes.
Let cool slightly. Top off with caramel ice cream and whipped topping!
You can also use raisins instead of cherries, pears instead of apples and maple syrup is a good substitute for the brown sugar.
