Adventure Week is about to take place in ‘Pokemon Go.’ (Niantic)
A new event is about to begin in Pokemon Go.
Niantic is referring to this event as “Adventure Week.” So when exactly does the event start, and when does it wrap up?
According to Niantic’s official news announcement today, Adventure Week will start on Thursday, May 18th at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time. It will wrap up exactly one week later, on Thursday, May 25th, again at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
In order to see how Pacific Time translates into your time zone, you can make use of the online resource World Time Buddy. Niantic uses Pacific Time, though, because they are headquartered in California.
So what changes will be in effect during this week-long event, exactly? Well, during Adventure Week, Poke Stops will give out even more items than usual. Plus, Buddy Pokemon will find Candy four times as fast as usual.
In addition, Poke Balls will be 50 percent off in the game’s store, and rock-type Pokemon will spawn more often than usual.
