Katy Perry is NOT helping Lady Gaga calm her nerves before her upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, despite an inaccurate webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s not true.
Perry played the halftime show at Super Bowl XLIX in 2015, and Gaga will headline the event at Super Bowl LI next month. A so-called “source” now tells HollywoodLife that Perry “has been in contact with [Gaga] for some advice on planning and nerves.” The site’s dubious insider adds, “Plus Katy hopes Gaga is even better than she was, she wants to always be tested because that is how they will grow as artists, Katy is very excited and will help in any way along the way until the big game!”
Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a rep for Gaga, who exclusively tells us Perry hasn’t stepped in to help calm the fellow singer before the big game. Gaga is an international music star who’s played massive arenas around the world, and she’s obviously used to the pressure of performing. Regardless, she isn’t being coached by Perry in any way.
In fact, this isn’t the first bogus story that HollywoodLife has concocted around Gaga’s Super Bowl performance. Gossip Cop previously busted the webloid for wrongly reporting that Gaga planned to attack Donald Trump during her halftime show. There was no truth to that claim, and the same goes for this latest one.
