People Notice Something Eerie Hiding In Plain Sight Of Final Photos Of Missing Teen Girls

The bodies of two 13-year-old girls were discovered on a riverbank in Indiana just hours after they posted online a final picture of themselves trekking.

Police have yet to announce the bodies are those of Abigail Williams and Liberty German. They are simply stating the bodies were found in the afternoon of Feb. 14 on the banks of Deer Creek, an area near where they went missing, and foul play is suspected.

Though not officially announced, people have been posting their condolences on Abigail’s mother’s Facebook page as law enforcement officials “scaled back” their search for the missing girls, the Daily Mail reports.

The bodies were found less than one mile away from the Monon High Bridge, which was the drop-off and pick-up location of the girls by family members. The two girls were left there to go on their hiking trip at 1 p.m. on Feb. 13.

The smart phones of the two girls ran out of energy or were switched off.

Liberty’s grandfather, Mike Patty, stated Feb. 14 according to WLFI: “The cellphone has been pinging around town — and here there is a cellphone tower — but the ping was last noted around five to six hours ago. And they say the phone is now dead.”

The bridge is a frequented spot for its beauty and was the backdrop of the final picture of Abigail, taken by Liberty, and posted to Snapchat at 2:07 p.m., some hours before they were declared missing at 5:30 p.m on Feb. 13.

Because police are still investigating, officials have yet to state how the victims died and what their injuries were.

The authorities also did not state they had any suspects or leads in the case during a press conference.

Officials have classified the case as a “death investigation” and not a homicide. The two girls were last seen at 1 p.m. on Feb. 13, WRTV reports.

“We’re just praying for their safe return. I’m upset and confused. Obviously, very distraught. I’m just worried,” Patty said.

“All I want to do is have the girls get home safe.”

Assistant Delphy Fire Chief Curtis Borden affirmed the bodies were discovered on Feb. 14 and that it was “not good.”

Police did not initially suspect foul play due to the nature of the situation. They considered issuing an Amber Alert but ultimately decided the case did not merit such a search.
