Billie Lourd’s family is not afraid she’s going to rush into marriage with boyfriend Taylor Lautner to fill the void left by the deaths of her mom, Carrie Fisher, and grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, despite a fabricated tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this. We’re told it’s untrue.
According to the National Enquirer, supposed friends of the “Scream Queens” actress think “Billie is getting too close too fast” to Lautner. A so-called “friend” tells the tabloid, “Carrie and Debbie were everything to Billie. Now she has this huge hole in her life, and we’re worried she will rush into marriage with Taylor. The same questionable source adds, “He’s a great guy, but she needs to take a little time before she rushes into any life-changing decision. The family wishes that she take her time and make no major decisions while she’s still grieving.”
Gossip Cop finds it interesting that the publication repeatedly states what it claims are the family’s “wishes” and worries, and yet seemingly didn’t even reach out to the family’s rep. If anything, the family wants Lourd to enjoy happiness amidst what has been a surreal sequence of events, with her mother dying from heart failure and then her grandmother suffering a deadly stroke the next day while planning Fisher’s funeral. Actually, Gossip Cop knows exactly what Lourd’s family’s stance is. Her rep told us the Enquirer’s story is untrue, and called its capitalizing on her tragedy “all gross.”
