Mary Tyler Moore's Third Husband, Dr. Robert Levine Third time was definitely "the charm" when it came to the men in Mary's life. She and Dr. Robert Levine were married in 1983. They were still married when she passed away at the age of 80, and he was right by her side. When they were married, Mary's co-star Valerie Harper told People Magazine that Robert made Mary feel cherished. Robert is a cardiologist. They met when he was caring for Mary's mother. When they married, Robert was only 30 and Mary was 45. Originally, according to People Magazine, Mary dated Robert to get back at her second husband. But their relationship turned into an enduring one. She and Grant were divorced in 1981 and their breakup broke her heart. When they were together, he and Mary created MTM Enterprises, which produced the Mary Tyler Moore Show.  The company also produced other hits like Rhoda, The Bob Newhart Show, Hill Street Blues, and St. Elsewhere. After he and Mary divorced in 1981, he left the company to become chief executive at CBS. They married right out of high school when she was 18 and he was 28. He had served in World War II and the Korean War before moving into a career in management. They had a son, Richie Meeker, who died when he was only 24 of an accidental gunshot wound. At the time, there were rumors he had committed suicide, but he owned a gun collection and Moore said that he was cleaning his gun when he died. Six years after getting married, Richard Meeker and Mary divorced in 1961. Richard Meeker passed away in 2013 at the age of 86. But they also briefly had each other's hearts too, although they didn't act on the attraction. According to ET Online, Dick Van Dyke admitted in 2016 that he and Moore had a "teenage crush" on each other. Moore was 11 years younger than Dyke. He said he thought she was beautiful when he first met her, but a little too young. "We had this, like a teenage crush on each other," he said. "It was fun." In his last film "Change of Habit," Presley played a doctor who fell in love with Mary Tyler Moore's character, a nun. But in 2002, Moore told Larry King that Presley was in love with her offscreen too, for awhile, Yahoo TV reported. Presley once said he had slept with all his leading ladies except Moore. In her autobiography, Moore said that when she first met Presley, he said he'd had a crush on her ever since "The Dick Van Dyke Show."
