Just witness the difference
A vicious battle has been waging on American soil since Donald Trump was elected President. Democrats have raced to discredit him and show he does not have the necessary skills to be our leader. Their attacks have ranged from childish name calling to treasonous assassination plans.
Obviously stretched to their limits, nothing has succeeded and President Trump responded by facing the office with a determination we have not seen in the White House in decades. Many Presidents enter office almost timidly, trying to get a feel for the most powerful position in the world.
Donald Trump knows power and he is rarely timid. His aggressive style is startling to many; it has been known to drive the poor snowflakes to tears. To those who have suffered and watched the country deteriorate under a terrorist administration, it is a long awaited change.
President Trump has held office now for 10 days. Those days have been full of hard work, solid decisions, and following through with promises he made on the campaign trail. He is not showing any signs of slowing down.
A quick look at the picture above clearly shows the different appraches the two Presidents take. One of them is obviously dedicated to work. The other was probably planning his next round of golf.
Obama’s first Executive Order, unsurprisingly, dealt with a personal issue. He issued the order to handle Presidential records. Then an order regarding appointees, the scope of their duties, and limitations. The next 3 orders were regarding lawful interrogation, prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, and detention policies. Then 3 regarding unions, employee rights, and government contracts.
The last one he signed in this wave had to do with executive orders. As you can see, he started off in much the same fashion he left, obsessed with himself and caring little about real changes for America.
Two very different Presidents!
Throughout his two terms, Obama began using Executive Orders in power plays. Mainstream media rarely talked about this and many citizens are unaware of exactly how often he used Executive Orders as a bullying tactic.
Obama signed a total of 248 Executive Orders in 8 years. That is actually not a high number so we won’t fault him for the number but rather the content. He often used them in a way that negates the basis of our democratic system. Obama acted more like an Emperor than a President.
Now that he is gone, it is exciting to have a President who actually cares for the future of the country instead of a man who is preoccupied with his legacy. From day one, President Trump has focused his attention on helping America regain the power Barack Obama threw away.
His first sentence as President set the tone, “We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and to restore its promise for all of our people.”
This new attitude has caused a stir. Enemies and allies alike have seen America as weak and falling fast. President Trump made them sit up and take notice; the United States is not playing those games anymore.
He set out to get rid of excessive regulations. This is part of his plan to withdraw some of the governmental power over citizens that Obama wielded. He issued an order instructing agencies that whenever they introduce a regulation, they must first abolish two others. He also shrunk the size of the government as a whole.
He lengthened the ban on administration officials working as lobbyists. There is now a 5 year-ban on becoming a lobbyist leaving the government, and a lifetime ban on White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government.
The picture of a weak leader
He then followed through with his refugee and immigration promises;
A 120-day suspension of the refugee program and a 90-day ban on travel to the U.S. from citizens of seven terror hot spots: Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Sudan.
In addition, he gave multi-faceted orders on border security and immigration enforcement including: the authorization of a U.S.-Mexico border wall; the stripping of federal grant money to sanctuary cities; hiring 5,000 more Border Patrol agents; ending “catch-and-release” policies for illegal immigrants; and reinstating local and state immigration enforcement partnerships.
Two orders addressed and revived the Keystone XL pipeline and Dakota Access pipelines. Three others followed that would: expedite the environmental permitting process for infrastructure projects related to the pipelines; direct the Commerce Department to streamline the manufacturing permitting process; and give the Commerce Department 180 days to maximize the use of U.S. steel in the pipeline.
And of course, he put a ban on federal funds to international groups that perform abortions or lobby to legalize or promote abortion. The policy was instituted in 1984 by President Reagan, but has not been firmly followed since.
If we looked at just the numbers, Trump wins again. But as Obama proved, it is not the number of orders but the efficiency of them. Looking at the two it is easy to see that President Trump has wasted no time in going after the difficult issues.
Anyone looking at America now, from within or on the outside, will see a difference. Obama brought change as he promised but it didn’t benefit anyone except maybe himself and his terrorist friends.
Now we have a President interested in changing America for the good. As President Trump unravels Obama’s mess, we look forward to seeing how the United States will reap the rewards.
