Following tonight’s Eastern Conference Finals, TNT will air the season premier of the second season of The Dunk King. The show will air immediately following TNT’s postgame show Inside the NBA. The new season is expected to start at midnight Eastern tonight but the actual start time depends on how long the Celtics-Cavs game goes.

Season Two Preview: The Dunk King is back for another season. According to TNT, there are four new episodes for season two that will follow the Eastern Conference Finals. The contestants are competing for $100,000 prize and the crown of the best dunker.
Last year’s champion, Porter Maberry is back to compete for back-to-back titles. Maberry will be competing against internet sensations like Guy Dupuy and Jordan Kilganon. He won the contest thanks in part to a dunk over Shaquille O’Neal.
This year, 24 dunkers will be competing for the dunk title. Each contestant will be given scores for their dunks with the highest scoring dunkers moving on in each round. According to TNT, a total of 10.9 million people watched The Dunk King Season One. Tonight’s episode will feature the opening round of qualifying as fans start to see who the 2017 contenders for the crown will be.
