With season 12 of “The Voice” set to premiere on NBC in less than two weeks, Stefani appeared on the late-night show to promote the reality competition, but the conversation quickly turned to Shelton. She said, “Let’s talk only about Blake because he’s so awesome… I love Blake.” Stefani then revealed that her boyfriend doesn’t love Los Angeles, and is “miserable when he’s not in the woods” and in camouflage.
Stefani also talked about how she took Shelton to Disneyland. She noted he had never been there before and wouldn’t go on the rollercoasters. Next, she said she was “so happy” to be back on “The Voice.” Stefani revealed the age for contestants has been lowered to 13, and showed a clip from the upcoming season of a young, impressive singer.
The No Doubt front woman is no stranger to “The Tonight Show.” As Gossip Cop reported at the time, Stefani and Shelton had a lip sync battle with Fallon in 2014. And that was a full year before the “Voice” coaches and now superstar couple started dating.
This time around, the fellow guests on “The Tonight Show” were Dane DeHaan and La La Land director Damien Chazelle, in addition to performer Maggie Rogers. No pretend singing was involved.
