Ciara, who is currently pregnant, was in a car accident on Friday. Gossip Cop has reached out for information on her condition.
The crash took place in Los Angeles, with Ciara behind the wheel of a Mercedes SUV. She was turning left when a Volo SUV slammed into the right, front passenger side of her vehicle. The T-bone collision led both police and the fire department to respond.
Fortunately, Ciara was able to exit the vehicle and walk away from the scene after the accident occurred. That said, TMZ claims the expectant star was seen “clutching her chest and shoulder.” But no injuries have been confirmed.
The singer is in the final weeks of her pregnancy. As Gossip Cop has reported, this will be her second child, but her first with Russell Wilson, whom she married last year. The accident comes just a few days after Ciara’s nude pregnancy shoot for Harper’s Bazaar was released.
Though she hasn’t revealed her due date, Ciara is said to be in her final trimester. Gossip Cop has reached out to the LAPD, LAFD, and reps for the star for more information. We will update accordingly. Ciara is pictured above at Elton John’s Oscars party last month.
UPDATE: A rep tells Gossip Cop, “Ciara and the baby are doing well. The driver was illegally in the bus lane and hit the right side of her car.” Ciara seemed to be okay in video taken after the accident. Watch below.
