On American Idol, Jurnee came out and gave a great cover of “Flashlight” by Jessie J for her Top 24 Solo performance in front of a live audience and Judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie on American Idol. The main take away was that Jurnee need to give more attitude and that she made things look so easy with her ability to sing.
Katy Perry said the performance was so beautiful and effortless. Katy said you have to have a confidence and not to shy away from that. Katy noted she is so good but she knows that she can blow her away. Katy told Jurnee to sing something to bring her to her knees. Lionel Richie said she is truly talented beyond her age. Lionel said to give him attitude by grabbing the mic.
Lionel said she has the attitude to give. Luke Bryan said she makes it so easy and to not make it look so easy. Luke said that Jurnee is spoiling it by making it so effortless. Luke said we want America to think that this girl is earning it. Luke called Jurnee awesome.
