American Idol: Garrett Jacobs Sings ‘Treat You Better’ By Shawn Mendes For Top 24 Solo Performance

On American Idol, Garrett Jacobs came out and gave his own take on “Treat You Better” by Shawn Mendes for his Top 24 Solo performance in front of a live audience and Judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie on American Idol. However, he did not win over the judges with that performance.

Lionel Richie said that there is a point in your life when you have to concentrate on the singing. Lionel said he has grown. Luke Bryan said he is not the best singer on the stage but that he is a heartthrob. Luke said it was a good song choice but try to knock the vocals out of the park. Katy Perry said she agreed with Lionel and Luke. Katy said she is fun to watch see grow. Katy noted that he should keep in mind to let it slow and to not think about it. Katy said it was a bit rocky road.
