On American Idol, Caleb Lee Hutchinson gives a crystal clear cover of “Die A Happy Man” for his Top 24 Solo performance in front of a live audience and Judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie on American Idol. Caleb spoke about just celebrating his birthday and losing weight.
Lionel Richie said his voice is crystal clear identity the first time he hits the note. Lionel said some have to dance around the stage a lot but he is simple and solid. Katy Perry said there is a timeliness in him. Katy said it is amazing how his voice holds so much wisdom and power. Katy said the stuff at the end felt shaky but it is nice to know that he has that option. Luke Bryan said it was not the best song for him. Luke said to keep going with his style but to dig in.
